Derby College Group backs new Emerging Business category at the East Midlands Bricks Awards 2026

Derby College Group has joined the sponsor line up for the East Midlands Bricks Awards 2026, backing the new Emerging Business (under 5 years old) category.

Derby College Group supports more than 13,000 students and works in partnership with over 2,700 employers. As the lead college for the East Midlands Construction Technical Excellence College (CTEC), Derby College Group works with colleges, employers and industry partners across the region to develop the skills needed to support the future of the construction sector.

Through initiatives such as the Teacher Industry Exchange (TIE), the College enables educators to work alongside employers, bringing current industry knowledge back into the classroom and helping ensure students develop the skills businesses need.

Speaking with Business Link, a spokesperson for Derby College Group said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the East Midlands Bricks Awards 2026 and to celebrate the outstanding businesses shaping the future of our region.

“At Derby College Group, we work closely with employers of all sizes to develop the skilled workforce they need to grow and succeed. As the lead college for the East Midlands Construction Technical Excellence College (CTEC), we are committed to working in partnership with industry to address skills needs, drive innovation and help build a stronger future workforce across the region.

“Sponsoring the Emerging Business category is a natural fit for Derby College Group; as an education provider, we are passionate about developing the talent, skills and ambition that enable businesses to thrive. We’re looking forward to celebrating the achievements of businesses from across the East Midlands and hearing the inspiring stories behind their success.”

The East Midlands Bricks Awards 2026, which will take place on Thursday 15th October at Nottingham’s famous Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, celebrates the successes of property and construction companies in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, and Northamptonshire.

Recognising those behind the changing landscape of the East Midlands, the occasion highlights development projects, businesses, and people in commercial and public building across the region – from office, industrial and residential schemes, through to community projects such as leisure schemes and schools.
